Introduction: Dermatophytosis are very common fungal infections caused by the species Microsporum, Epidermophyton or Trichophyton, which mostly affect skin, interdigital region, groin and scalp. Although they do not cause serious diseases, in patients with human immunodeficiency virus infection manifests itself evolves exuberantly, usually extensive disseminated lesions. Objective: To review literature on dermatophytosis people living to present experience clinical care a patient dermatophytosis. Methods: A topic was carried out PubMed/National Library of Medicine – USA databases, using keywords dermatophytosis, associated words AIDS, immunodeficiency, from 1988–2022.
